Richard J. Feinberg
Mr. Feinberg has over 30 years of trial-related experience in the area of Family Law. He now limits his practice to Family Law-related matters at the Trial, Appellate, and Mediation levels. His firm handles all matters related to the Dissolution of Marriage, Alimony, Property Division, Child Support, and Modifications. Other areas of expertise include Paternity and Relocation issues as well as preparing Pre-nuptial Agreements. Mr. Feinberg has represented parties in appellate-related issues on matrimonial and other civil cases in the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th District Courts of Appeals.
Richard became a Florida Supreme Court Certified Family Mediator in the State of Florida in 2001. In 2011 he also became certified as a Florida Supreme Court Certified Appellate Mediator. Mr. Feinberg has extensive experience in mediating family law-related matters both at the Trial and Appellate levels. Mr. Feinberg mediates in Brevard County as well as state-wide in Florida.
He is a member of both the Florida Bar Association and Brevard County Bar Association, as well as a past member of the Academy of Florida Trial Lawyers.
After growing up in Long Island, New York, Richard graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Florida with a Bachelor’s degree in Economics in 1979. He then attended and graduated from the University of Miami Law School graduating Cum Laude in 1982.
Mr. Feinberg worked in the Miami area until 1989, practicing in the areas of personal injury, medical and dental malpractice, and family law. He then went into private practice in Broward County, Florida, and continued to practice in the areas of personal injury and family law in the tri-county area of Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach Counties. Richard also tried cases in Orange, Glades, and Brevard Counties before relocating to Brevard County in 2002. Mr. Feinberg has significant experience in both jury and non-jury trials.
